Welcome! Start here.

Welcome to RN School!

I am so happy that you are here.

I am Brooke, The Nursing Professor, and my goal is to provide you with the resources you need to ace nursing school without experiencing the stress and overwhelm that typically comes along with it.

As both a registered nurse and a nursing professor, I know what tools you need in your arsenal to not only successfully complete nursing school, but also what is needed to survive as a graduate nurse. My desire and aim is to (eventually) build what is effectively a one-stop-shop for nursing students. To that end, I will be adding resources weekly to help you on your nursing school journey.

Here are a few things you need to know to get the most out of this resource:

  • You can access any of the available material at any time, and in any order you would like. It is designed to allow you to jump to whatever area you are currently studying.
  • I HIGHLY encourage you to work through the Study Tips and Testing Tips once they are all posted (and these will all be posted within the next week). And I would advise that you do so as early as possible into your term.
  • There are templates and cheat sheets throughout that you may download and use to help you study and commit things to memory. Definitely check out these: Study Template (to use for EVERY disease process you learn about), Clinical Report Sheet (your brain during clinical), and the Electrolyte Chart (in F&E), as you are getting started.
  • I want this to be a positive and encouraging space. So, please keep all comments and Facebook posts/comments upbeat and encouraging. Any rude, discouraging, or unhelpful comments will be deleted.
  • By enrolling in this membership, you agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined for RN School.

Also….the information on this site needs to be relevant and up-to-date. Should you ever encounter incorrect or questionable information, typos, issues with formatting, or things that you would like to see added, changed, etc., PLEASE let me know!  I truly want this to be a great learning resource for you.

Let me know how I can best serve you!

Thanks for being here!
